Shipmates – At the Norfolk reunion, the membership voted to consider three great cities for our next reunion. The cities were Louisville, KY, Nashville, TN, and Newport, RI. A vote was solicited and closed on 1 February. The winning city was Louisville, Kentucky! The official reunion will be 1 – 4 August 2013! July 31st arrivals will have some event options as well. The reunion banquet Saturday evening, August 3rd, is the final reunion event. Mark your calendar now and start making plans. In the next few weeks, we’ll be finalizing event options and we will get the registration form/sign up sheet on the site so you can start registering. Until then, here are some links about this great city. The Galt House hotel (#3 on map) rates have been contracted and the Rivue Towers (west building) are $119. These rooms are deluxe rooms and include 2 queen beds and refrigerators. The Suite Tower (east building) contain the Executive suites and are only $129. These rooms are awesome with separate lounge areas and 1 King size bed. You can check the Galt House website link for more details. Additionally, we will have a hospitality suite with balcony that overlooks the Ohio River. The hotel is first class but the reunion room rates rival a mid-priced hotel!
